Opening hours
Throughout the year, the Herrenhausen Gardens (including Großer Garten, Berggarten and the conservatories) open at 9 a.m., the Georgengarten is accessible at any time of day.
The opening hours of the Museum Schloss Herrenhausen are as follows: from 15 March 2013 until 31 October 2013 daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., from 1 November 2013 until 31 December 2013 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Last admission one hour before closing time.

The Georgengarten is a public park and may be visited at any time and at no charge.
Directions and parking
The gardens are signposted on the B6 road into Hannover from the "Herrenhausen" exit on the A2 motorway. The address is Herrenhäuser Straße, 30419 Hannover. The local tram numbers 4 and 5 and bus service number 136 stop close to the Gardens, the stations are named "Herrenhäuser Gärten".
There are plenty of parking spaces close the Gardens. The parking area ("Parkplatz Ost") by the entrance is subject to charges: per four hours or part thereof 3,00 €, the maxium fee per day is 12,00 €. Coaches park free of charge. During special events the costs may vary. The "Parkplatz West" at the street "Am Großen Garten" is usually free of charge. In the case of major events, there will be more fee-based parking spots for motorcars in the immediate catchment area of the Gardens.
Wheelchair access
The Herrenhausen Gardens have wheelchair access to almost all areas and toilets for handicapped people. Wheelchairs may be reserved without charge, please call +49 511 168 - 4 77 43.
Dogs and bicycles
Dogs and bicycles are not allowed in the Großer Garten and Berggarten.
Picnics
Picnics are allowed in designated areas in the Georgengarten.
