Nestling in the most delightful countryside of northern Germany and only 40 kilometres from Hannover, the city of the fairs, Stadthagen, highly regarded by 19th-century cartoonist Wilhelm Busch, is a charming town of the "Weser Renaissance".
With only a few steps one can wander here through the centuries. Almost all historic buildings in the city stand for the 750 years of Stadthagen's history. The old embankment that surrounds the inner town is ideal for long interesting walks, just like the hills and forests of "Bückeberge" and "Schaumburger Wald" nearby.
