For over three centuries the Royal Herrenhausen Gardens have provided the impressive setting for glittering celebrations. Classical concerts and performances of every kind are staged throughout the year in the beautiful Galerie and Orangerie buildings, and each May the gardens are transformed into an outdoor festival hall; adorned with thousands of summer flowers and tub plants. Tens of thousands of visitors then come to concerts, firework displays, exhibitions, readings, small-scale performing arts, dance and musicals.

As dusk falls, illuminations bathe the hedges and fountains of Grosser Garten in enchanting light, and Baroque music leads evening promenaders into bygone times. Almost any part of the gardens can be hired for private and corporate celebrations.
