Hannovers first Tropical Aquarium
Visitors experience a 3,500 square meter Aquarium coming face to face with some of the worlds most fascinating marine creatures. The journey begins in the underwater world from the Leine where visitors will see fish from local waters, moving onto the Caribbean and then to the Amazon. The Aquarium is home for more than 5,000 marine creatures in over 30 water tanks.
Some highlights include black tip sharks, turtles, stingrays, piranhas and seahorses. Visitors even get the chance to interact with marine creatures in the "touch pool" areas of the SEA LIFE centre. The Ocean tank holds more than 300,000 litres of water and allows visitors to walk right through an 8 meter long glass tunnel.
The highly trained SEA LIFE staff are always on hand to answer any questions you may have about the creatures, and offer throughout the day a number of talks on various topics. The public feeding is a favourite for many visitors. An interactive quiz trail is great for kids young and old. SEA LIFE thereby aims to combine both entertainment and education.
