Assisting in the foundation, location and growth of enterprises in the Hannover region – the mission of hannoverimpulsEstablished in 2003 as the business development agency of the City and Region of Hannover, hannoverimpuls concentrates on five sectors promising exceptional growth, employment potential and innovation: automotive, information and communications technology, life sciences, optical technologies and production engineering.

This deliberate and consistent focus is unique in Germany and based firmly on cooperation between the region’s businesses and scientific centres of excellence. Close networking of industry, scientific research and potential partners creates ideal framework conditions for sector growth and cluster development.Cross-sectoral business start-up support is provided by hannoverimpuls together with the Technologie-Centrum Hannover and many other partners in the Hannover region. Innovative start-up competitions and praxis-based seminars and workshops help potential self-employed and young entrepreneurs on the way to their own businesses.Through two funding programmes, hannoverimpuls also provides financial support for promising enterprises in the start-up and development phases. Expansion by established Hannover companies is also supported through competitions to stimulate innovation potential.

Interested companies are comprehensively and personally advised and assisted by competent partners from the first enquiry through to the search for a site.

Additionally, hannoverimpuls Ausbildung e.V. creates new jobs and supports SMEs especially in their recruitment and training management. This non-profit association initiates and coordinates projects with partners to ensure the needs-related development of a supply of qualified skilled personnel in the Hannover region.
