The circle of friends and sponsors “Antike und Gegenwart e.V.” founded in 1979 ideally and financially supports the public relations endeavours of Museum August Kestner as well as in the acquisition and preservation of the varied objects in its collections in addition in its research, publication and exhibition activities. Members are regularly invited to attend special functions. The Circle of Friends and Sponsors organizes lectures for the visitors of the Museum August Kestner as well as excursions to museums, exhibitions and places of cultural and historical interest headed by the museum’s scholarly staff.

Members pay an annual fee. An additional contribution is desirable, whereby schoolchildren, students and trainees are exempted.
