Museum shop
The “Kestner Shop,” designed and run by the museum’s Circle of Friends and Sponsors, offers a wide selection of museum catalogues, books for children and adolescents, postcards and posters in addition to other attractive items.
Specialities are the hand-made replicas of numerous originals from our museum’s various collections.

Cafeteria
A small café located on the first floor in the middle of the permanent collection also run by the Circle of Friends and Sponsors offers refreshments.

Enquiry Service
Wednesday 3–4 p.m.
The museum staff will answer queries and help with identification of privately owned items that are related to our collections such as objects from Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, European Applied Arts as well as coins and medals. No valuations can be given.

Library
The library is located in Room 250 on the second floor of the New City Hall (adjacent to the museum).
Opening hours: Tues.–Fri. alternating weekly from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12–4 p.m.

Opening hours
Tue–Sun 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Wed. 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
The museum is closed Mondays, New Year’s Day, May 1, Good Friday, Ascension, 1st Sunday in July (Schützenfest Parade), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

The museum entrance is accessible via a ramp; an elevator is available. Our staff will gladly offer assistance.
