Decisions regarding right of residence, naturalization and citizenship for foreigners living in the city of Hannover

The immigration office of the city of Hannover decides on applications for right of residence and gives information on possibilities to stay in Germany.

As a general rule, you require a prior appointment for visiting the immigration office. Appointments can be made on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday morning as well as on Thursday afternoon. Please choose from the appointment opportunities below.

Confirmation of your status of residence can be given without prior appointment during our opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
