State government hotline for questions on COVID-19 vaccination
The citizens of Lower Saxony have the opportunity to clarify their questions about the COVID-19 vaccination by calling a newly established hotline. Later, it will be possible to make vaccination appointments via the hotline, however, this is not yet possible.
Hotline: 0800 9988665
The hotline is available from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The hotline is closed on public holidays.
According to latest information, due to initially limited vaccine availability, vaccination offers will be made first to the elderly, persons with pre-existing conditions, and health care workers.
The only options to arrange vaccination appointments will be via the state government hotline and the connected online appointment platform.

Start of COVID-19 vaccinations
The first vaccination doses for the Hanover Region and the City of Hannover arrived on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Since then, vaccination teams have started operations.
The order of citizens eligible for vaccination depends on the individual risk, in particular on age, living situation, pre-existing conditions and professional activities. First of all, residents and employees in retirement homes and nursing homes are to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The state of Lower Saxony will announce when citizens can make an appointment for the Covid 19 vaccination.
A vaccination centre set up by the City of Hannover and the Hannover Region
The vaccination centre in Hall 25 at the Hannover Fairground has been ready for use since December 15, 2020. Once the vaccine is available in sufficient quantities, the vaccination centre will commence operations. Citizens of the city of Hannover and the Hannover Region are to be vaccinated against the corona virus over the coming months. The centre is equipped with eight rows with four vaccination cubicles each. One mobile vaccination team will be assigned to each row. In a first step, four of these rows and four mobile teams will be operated. Depending on the number of vaccine doses available, operations will be extended.
Access by public transport
Citizens eligible for vaccination and equipped with an appointment can reach the vaccination centre with the tram line 8 to MESSE NORD from Hannover Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). A bus shuttle service connects the tram stop with the vaccination center.
