Shop (almost) around the clock

Translates as "Your shopping station"

Extended opening hours

Sunday and public holiday shopping is the rule at the station, because the shops and eateries are open every day of the year. While most stores in the city close at 8 p.m. and do not open on Sundays, a special regulation in the Lower Saxony law allows for longer opening hours.

All shops, including drugstores, a discounter, various flower and newspaper shops and even branches of various fashion and jewellery chains are open until at least 10 p.m. on weekdays on weekdays, Sunday openings hours are sometimes shorter. The pharmacy, for example, offers its services on Sundays "only" from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening.

Feasting at the station

Bread rolls, curry sausages, exotic foods or cakes: everything the heart and the stomach desire is available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and from 6 to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The fast-food chains stay open from 6 to 3 o'clock on weekdays and on weekends even provide around-the-clock service. A special tip is the "Schlemmer-Jazz" on several Sundays in spring and summer: while local jazz bands play, the station gastronomers hand out free snacks and drinks.
