Feinkost Lampe Concert

Known as a violist and arranger for many greats in the British music business, such as Blur, Bat For Lashes or Peter Gabriel, John Metcalfe, born in New Zealand and living in England, is one of the most diverse musicians of his time.

His musical collaborations are as numerous as they are diverse - whether he shared stage or studio with U2, The Heritage Orchestra, Coldplay, the Max Richter Ensemble or The Duke Quartet, he always produced and toured with his own band.
In Hanover they will present pieces from his last two albums. On The Appearance of Color, he wonderfully combines the different strands of his kaleidoscopic music world: powerful rhythmic strings, shimmering electronics and guitar runs, as well as transcendental piano moments, underpinned by beats ranging from trip hop to drum'n'bass. Absence, his 5th solo work and very personal concept album, combines electro-classical vocal and soundscapes that explore genre boundaries and the process of saying goodbye to a loved, dying person in epic, sometimes shimmering, but never maudlin pieces full of grace, dignity and confidence dress.
KayLe Fay loves mild May nights and invites the audience to float in the air in a sound-knotted hammock with eccentric onomatopoeia as well as swing for urban jazz. Acoustics fall in love with electronics and then fuse with exotic products.
