British rock group Fischer-Z is bringing the brand new album "Swimming in Thunderstorms" to the Capitol Hannover on 25 October.

In 2019 Fischer-Z celebrate "40 years of successful album history" with the release of "Swimming in Thunderstorms". The new album is personal, political, passionate – like many of its predecessors.

New line-up

While mastermind, singer and guitarist John Watts maintains his high level songwriting and his idiosyncratic observational wit, he has found musicians for the new album who do justice to the breadth and depth of his musical ideas. This new formation includes Sin Banovic on drums, David Purdye on bass, Adrien Rhodes on keyboard and Marian Menge on second guitar.

40 years of successful album history

Fischer-Z caused a sensation at the end of the Seventies with songs like "The Worker", "Room Service" and "So Long". The first big successes were the LPs "Word Salad" (1979), "Going Deaf For A Living" (1980) and "Red Skies Over Paradise" (1981). 1989 followed the album "Fish's Head" with the moving single "Say No", whose video was banned by their own label. Various other albums followed, including "This is my Universe" in 2016 and "Building Bridges" in 2017.
