Uriah Heep

British rock pioneers Uriah Heep are performing at the Capitol Hannover on 15. November. Special guests on their extensive tour through Germany are The Zombies with Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone.

Uriah Heep are considered the co-founders of progressive hard rock in the early 70s. They have remained true to their trademark sound from Mick Box' Wah-Wah guitar and the mighty Hammond organ to this day. Uriah Heep's lead vocals and choir arrangements were always outstanding, which earned them the attribute "Beach Boys of Heavy Metal" and influenced countless bands.

Half a century of music history

In their almost 50 year career, Uriah Heep have released 25 studio albums and numerous live recordings, selling over 40 million records to date. Thanks to their untiring tour activities, Uriah Heep have created a worldwide fan base. They were also the first western rock band to play in Moscow in 1987 in front of 180,000 people.

Today's line-up

The current line-up consists of band founder Mick Box (guitar), Bernie Shaw (vocals), Phil Lanzon (keyboard), Dave Rimmer (bass) and Russell Gilbrook (drums). Both the new album "Living the Dream" and top hits like "Lady in Black", "Look at yourself", "Gypsy" or "Easy Livin" will be part of the show.

Special guests

The Zombies were nominated for the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. With hits like "She's not There" or "Time of the Season" they shaped the beat era of the 60s and 70s. Their concept album "Odessey and Oracle" from 1968 made it into the list of "Best records of all time" of Rolling Stone magazine.
