Future Lovers (unplugged)
In their piece Future Lovers the Spanish theatre collective La Tristura attempts to get closer to this new generation, which is growing up in an overstimulated technological world. A world in which the way we can connect, communicate and love has radically changed. La Tristura encounter the young people non-judgementally, like younger siblings, and understand the stage as an ideal human space in which to identify with them at least for a short time, something that normal life barely allows any more. How is youth still similar to ten or twenty years ago, and how will it always stay the same?
Future Lovers is an exercise in imagining the future and evoking one’s own past. What were your expectations for your life? Were they fulfilled? Were you right then or now?
