With the category "The Beauty of Herrenhausen Gardens" the Herrenhausen Gardens are participating for the first time in the renowned photo competition "International Garden Photographer of the Year" (IGPOTY). The Herrenhausen Gardens invite professional and amateur photographers to submit their most beautiful photos. The theme is the Herrenhausen Gardens (without events).

About the competition

IGPOTY is an international photo competition that has been held every year since 2007 and in which anyone, whether amateur or professional, can participate. The best photos of the competition will be exhibited in the Kew Gardens in England and in other European gardens - from November for the first time in the Herrenhausen Gardens, too.

This year, the 13th IGPOTY edition will take place. Entries must be submitted online at www.igpoty.com by 31 October 2019. Participation in the category "The Beauty of Herrenhausen Gardens" is free of charge.

An international jury will evaluate the photos in November/December and select the best of the competition. The results will be announced in February 2020 and presented exclusively in the Kew Gardens near London. They can then be seen in selected gardens in Europe and from November in our "open-air gallery" in the subtropical courtyard of the Berggarten.

The award-winning photos will also be published in the book IGPOTY Collection 13.

How you can participate

Select the category "The Beauty of Herrenhausen Gardens" on www.igpoty.com and upload your photo. The closing date for all entries is 31 October 2019. The winners will be announced in February 2020.
