9 December 2014 saw 15 guests from several cities in Shandong Province visit Hannover to familiarize themselves with current economic topics.
In cooperation with the Chinese MICI education institute, the German Management Academy of Lower Saxony in Celle organized a practice-oriented seminar for specialist and executive personnel from the Department of Commerce in Shandong Province in the People’s Republic of China. The schedule also included a visit to the state capital Hannover. Shandong lies on China’s east coast and is one of the country’s most prosperous and populous provinces.
In the morning on 15 December the delegation visited joint business development company hannoverimpuls, where Dr Selle gave a talk on economic development measures and initiated a discussion. The talks were then continued during a meal in the Gartensaal restaurant in the New Town Hall.
Afterwards, the delegation’s members were received by Mayor Hermann who explained the city’s administrative structures with a presentation in the Ratssaal (Council Chamber).
