The charming Spaniard's open air concert at the Parkbühne has been rescheduled for 24 August 2022.
The facts are impressive, but quite simple: Alvaro Soler is a charming Spaniard whose debut album "Eterno Agosto" and the hits "Sofia", "El Mismo Sol" and "Yo Contigo, Tú Conmigo (The Gong Gong Song)" reached gold, platinum and diamond status worldwide. He has been nominated for three Latin American Music Awards, his songs have been streamed nearly 390 million times on Spotify alone and his YouTube channel is watched by more than 1.7 million rapturous fans every day.
Multilingual globetrotter with a good sense of humour
On closer inspection, things get really interesting: Alvaro Soler has a Spanish mother and a German father and lived in Tokyo for seven years before returning to his birthplace Barcelona to study industrial design. In 2015, he moved to Berlin and made his solo debut, which secured top chart positions in Germany and the rest of Europe. "Sofia" went to the top of the charts in 17 countries and reached the top 5 in 30 countries worldwide. Despite this impressive record, 29-year-old Alvaro doesn't take himself too seriously and doesn't go for the fast fame. The multilingual globetrotter is much more interested in bringing different cultures together on one dance floor - with infectious hooks and a pinch of humour.
