Filmmaker Miho Cibot was born in Hiroshima and throughout her life has actively campaigned for the abolition of nuclear weapons. She is supported in these activities by her husband Michel Cibot who, as long-time mayor of the small French town of Malakoff in the Paris commuter belt, has likewise campaigned against nuclear weapons. Malakoff as well as Hannover each have one of eight Mayors of Peace vice-presidents worldwide. Mayor Hermann and Mr. and Mrs Cibot arranged to organize joint activities in 2015 for the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
