      Thousand paper cranes from Hiroshima for Hannover

      On the occasion of his visit to Hannover on 11 December 2014 the Secretary General of the international city network Mayors for Peace, Yasuyoshi Komizo, presented Mayor Hermann with 1000 paper cranes.

      This presentation was followed by talks on the cooperation among the member cities of Mayors for Peace and the planning for the coming year. The 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki falls in 2015.
