Foyer des Kunstvereins Hannover

The Arts Society of Hannover hosts many national and international exhibitions echoing key schools of contemporary art.

The Kunstverein Hannover, formed in 1832 and one of the first art associations in Germany, has been based in the Künstlerhaus in Sophienstrasse since 1856. Every year, this organisation holds between six and eight international monographic and thematic exhibitions relating to main themes that are changed each year.

A wide-ranging programme of accompanying events, with lectures, podium discussions and interviews with artists, is guaranteed to satisfy all cultural curiosity. Especially popular are the ‘Blind Dates’, the surprise events held in the evenings.
