...which starts on 31 March 2024, the commitment in the state capital will then be increased by another Eurowings aircraft and strengthened with many new non-stop destinations.

In addition to two weekly flights to Faro in Portugal and the new destination Malaga (4x weekly), the Eurowings programme for summer 2024 will have a clear focus on Italy: with Rome (4x weekly), Catania and Naples (3x weekly), Bari, Olbia and Lamezia Terme (2x weekly in each case), Eurowings will ensure good and direct connections to one of the most popular holiday destinations for northern Germans.

The summer offer from Lower Saxony's most important airport is complemented by flights to Thessaloniki (twice a week), 14 weekly connections to Majorca and a connection to Pristina (once a week).

10 direct flights

„Ten destinations from Hanover are a strong signal to our customers and passengers and a great sales success for the airport. This makes the flight schedule from HAJ even more attractive. Our passengers can already look forward to a great travel and holiday year in 2024. These new routes are also very pleasing for our traffic development,“ says Airport CEO Dr Martin Roll, „The stationing of two Eurowings aircraft at the airport will contribute to a positive traffic development and is an extremely strong signal to the market. This will considerably strengthen our position as a tourist airport in the north. Italy as a holiday destination - that has been on our wish list for a long time.“

„Out of the crisis, we have fundamentally changed Eurowings and developed it into Germany's largest holiday airline,“ said Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof. „We will now expand this position in a targeted manner and significantly strengthen our position in Hannover. With our programme of attractive direct flights, we will ensure better connections between the Lower Saxony region and the most popular sunshine destinations in southern Europe in particular.“
